Herzlich willkommen zu meinem Projekt "Faces of Zambia". Nachdem ich auf den vergangenen Reisen mein Interesse für die Portraitfotografie entdeckt und meine Scheu überwunden habe, sind die Serien "Faces of Botswana", "Faces of Namibia" und " Auf der Suche der Kultur der Himba" entstanden. Es freut mich sehr, dass ich auf unserer ersten Sambiareise die Gelegenheit hatte Menschen in Sambia zu porträtieren, eine nicht ganz einfache Aufgabe.
Faces of Namibia is my new portrait project. Here I'm telling you the stories behind the scenes of individual photographs. What I have experienced and felt in this particular moment and the thoughts these people have triggered in my mind.
I hope to create a more complete picture of the photograph and the individual with this project. Any thoughts are much appreciated as comment!
Die Gewinnerlisten der Honorable Mentions Chromatic Photography Awards 2020 haben mich heute erreicht und ich bin bin sehr zufrieden mit drei "honorable mentions" meiner drei Einsendungen in den Kategorien "portrait" und "photojournalism".
Everything started with some posts on Facebook, with a story around the photograph, as usual.
Soon I realized that this is more than only one photograph, it is a series - "faces of botswana". Each and every photograph tell`s a different story and I wrote my story about every photograph and posted it on Facebook. But it makes much more sense to combine the series "face of botswana" and the stories behind the scenes in one simple blogpost and that is the result... Enjoy it!
